Items that should have lids would have an unglazed rim so it is complete.

I do not buy much pottery in charity shops nowadays. It is often overpriced, or just too common. But I could not resist this 8 inch Winchcombe vase at £4.99. Which is a completely and different style from what I am used to.  I presume this is from the modern Matt Grimett. era. It has two faces of the prominent design, and is oval more than round in shape. I rather lie it

Winchcombe Pottery - Page 11 Empty Winchcombe Pottery another mark fo Sid Tustin?

Hi Just picked up a charming jam pot, the Winchcombe mark is quite clear and above is a marked .T I was told it it was Sidney Tustins last mark but I can find no reference to it. Any help would be much apreciated.Winchcombe Pottery - Page 11 Jam_po10

It could be that it is missing the first letter. ST was Sid Tustins mark and CT was Charlie Tustins mark.

Agreed. Both Sid and Charlie had a dot between their initials - S.T and C.T - so could be either of them, although Sid was the most prolific so probably one of his
