Paul Gooderham, Gailey Pottery
Came across the Gailey Pottery this week. Well worth a visit. Here is one of Paul Gooderham's own pieces. They have other British Studio pottery for sale too.

Re: Paul Gooderham, Gailey Pottery
I am pretty sure this is by Paul Gooderham but it's unmarked. There is another on ebay also attributed to the same potter. I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong.

Incised stoneware lampbase with inpressed flower / daisy mark ID please
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could please help with identifying a lamp.
At auction, I recently bought a Cotswold Pottery porcelain unicorn figure that came with a retro 70's ? stoneware lampbase that I'm trying to ID (I've looked through the web & Godden with no luck).
The lamp is stoneware with an incised floral pattern to 3 of the sides & the back has an impressed mark that looks like a flower head or daisy above an impressed rectangular cartouche with 3 indistinct 'blobs' (possibly initials but not clear)
Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated,
Douglas

The brass pots were made by Stuart and Angela Houghton (hence the SH mark), Paul Gooderham rented his first studio from them in the yard of a brass casting workshop in Birminghams Jewellery Quarter, 1975-79.

Re: Paul Gooderham, Gailey Pottery
Bit of Info on Paul's Marks
The three character mark 'pcg' is Paul's 3 initials and has been used since the 70's 'till present day.
The flower mark was used on stoneware 'till mid 80's.
The diamond mark denotes porcelain and was used on it's own untill the mid 80's and together with pcg stamp untill the mid 90's.
The pcg impressed into a button of clay is from 95 onwards.
The Gailey Pottery sticker was used until late 80's.
Hand signed work from mid 90's on.
Made in England stamp 90's on.

The petals and moon/suns etc are made from porcelain impressed into the stoneware base.

Stoneware Wall Plaque Three Dot Impressed Mark
Hi
Odd combination of impressed flower marks with inserted pale ceramic sections for petals. There's two impressed marks but the little square is unreadable and the taller just looks like three dots after the firing.
