Hallo, I do hope you're all well.
I thought this decorative' little (9cm) jug was by Alan Ashpool, but on closer inspection the mark is not exactly like Mr Ashpool's and the style does not seem to match his known works. Can anybody please identify this mark for me?
Thank you.
Jack.

To see how fabulous a potter Alan Frewin really was just look at his work for sale on Ebay. He died a few years ago, and his estate is selling his work. It is heftily priced and is collection only. Which means it is not selling well. But just look. Truly some of the best slipware pottery I have seen. Amazing work.

Sadly he died in 2016. Millhouse Pottery in Harleston, Norfolk, recently went up for sale (2022) after being closed down in 2020. Between his death and the 2020 the pottery was run by his wife, and son Paul. Yep, I google stalked the place, and stumbled on the estate agent sale brochure.

Useful info. Most Excellent
There were a lot of unusual pieces for sale on eBay a couple of years ago. I guess his family were having a clearout of his personal collection

Mark is known as Nonsuch Pottery but I recently read that Nonsuch never actually existed. It was a location that Alan Frewin and a fellow potter were planning to buy and set up a pottery together, but the deal fell apart. The stamp is actually a stylised AF monogram
