Re: Paul Stubbs
I don't sorry, but would not be surprised if there was, but it as not included in "the book".
Does the Dove mark look correct in person? It's hard to see from the image.

Re: Paul Stubbs
The Dove Centre mark looks right to me and there can't have been many such marks anyway.
I wasn't aware of this mark until this thread but when I saw the address of the pottery I realised that I have been there in more recent years, as it is where Mike Dodd currently lives and works. There are still a number of different crafts people with studios there but these are now individual operations and the complex is known as Dove Workshops.
The mark in Yates-Owen/Fournier relates to a potter called Pauline Watson who is currently chairperson of Somerset Art Works. On their website it states that "early on, she co-founded the Dove Centre, Butleigh, which provided 10 practicing artists with 5 studio spaces, a gallery and shop and offered a broad programme art and craft courses to the public."
You might be able to get some information about PS by emailing this organisation at

it's paul stubbs
this is rather a late reply to this post but I have just spotted it and think the answer is Paul Stubbs who was a potter at The Dove Centre in Butleigh and is now in Keinton Mandeville. He's a fantastic potter

Mike Dodd has been at the Dove Studios mentioned above since 2000 and probably just before that. There was no other potter there when I visited in 2000, so Mike could have bought the property from Paul Stubbs.

Re: Paul Stubbs
We how have 4 different PS stamps for him. I think if we ever get a mystery PS stamp that doesnt fit any other potter we'll just say Paul Stubbs
