Studio Pottery bird with metal legs, pq mark pcp mark?
Hi. Does anyone recognise this Studio Pottery bird. Found in the North-West of England it measures 8 inches(20.5 cms) beak to tail - 6.75 inches (17 cms) tall - 2.5 inches (6.5 cms) wide. Body is pottery - legs are metal. There are a number of images below (including the mark found on the underside). Any help would be much appreciated.

Looks like the body is Raku.

I really don't know much about Raku except that it is a technique that gives a certain 'oxidised' look. I've posted some more images that hopfully someone may be able to confirm it as Raku. Also if anyone has any ides to origin (see earlier image for mark). Thanks

Raku is a form of reduction firing.
I am unable to confirm this is raku, but still think it is.
Hopefully SP will be able to confirm if it is or not.
The thing that makes me unsure is how white the white glazed bits are and their lack of crazing.

I've attached a link to another photo of the white chest - the other were done with flash - hopefully this might help. Lastly the white is crazed but I can't get the right photo to show. Thanks

It does look like raku but I have no idea who made it.

Anyone any idea what type of bird this is - it might give some clues to where it came from. I've tried magpie & mynah birds but neither look like this. Is it some kind of crow?

It doesn't look like any kind of British bird.

Having had a better look, I think under the first mark it says NZ, meaning it's from New Zealand (I think part of the N was covered by the metal legs).
So I would think it could be a type of bird native to New Zealand (assuming I'm right about that part).

It would seem it's a Tui bird
