Abstract stone sculpture
Don't know if this is the right place to post this but couldn't see stone anywhere else.
I bought this at a carboot sale a couple of months ago. It reminds me of a modern-day Venus of Willendorf as when viewed from certain angles it's got distinctly female looking bits.
It's got a good, clear mark on the base but it could be a number of different possibilities of intials and, while I'm an amateur stone-carver myself, I know nothing about anyone else's work and don't know where to start the search for its' maker.
I'm guessing it's carved rather than moulded as there seem to be some chisel marks in the harder-to-get-at places but am not certain of this, even less so now that I've taken a really close look at it as certain areas seem a little overly smooth compared to the rest. If it is carved then it looks like bath stone which is what I use.
Any ideas? All suggestions appreciated. NB the sculpture is an homogeneous cream colour, not two-tone as my dodgy photography suggests

Yes it is a bit, um, organic isn't it. If it was carved from life then that was one flexible lady.
