Tiny vase with familiar mark.
Maybe I am thinking of William Howson Taylor but this mark seems familiar. I cannot find it in any of my sources. Does anyone else know it?
Thanks for looking.

Re: Tiny vase with familiar mark.
It stands for Taylor Tunnicliffe & Co of Hanley in Staffordshire who were originally in production in the late 19th Century, although this looks to be more modern (maybe they started production later, also). Hope that helps

And I have just noticed the decorator has the blossom and the fruit out at the same time.........a schoolboy error in the late 19th century pottery painting scene.

Kovel's Book of Marks lists this mark as being used 1875-1898, and the company being in production 1868-1964+.

at that time, there were many factories producing a pattern like this, which was often given the name "Pomona" - an image of fruit/flowers/fruit+flowers.

The marks are interesting. Some are black possibly in respect of Queen Victoria's death. Also this has the 'Kings' crown. Some have a smaller 'Queens' crown but I can't find what the significance of this was.
