Who made this old Teapot? - Jackfield?
Lovely large old teapot. It has knobbles all over like on those Royal Doulton vases. The only clue is a line of dots inside the rim on the base. Thank you." />

I remember hearing that dots are often used to signify a date

I thought Jackfield ones were always painted. Isn't it only Doulton who use the dot counting method, but when it's around a stamp? But you may well be right. I'm clueless
