huge sgraffito-decorated soda-glazed vase? DH mark
Hi. This is my first posting on this site. Hope someone can help. If so, I've got lots more mystery pots coming soon . . .
This is a large stoneware vase, possibly from the 1970s. It's 40 cms tall, with a brown salt-glaze, decorated with a beautifully executed sgraffito daffodil pattern. Two monograms, possibly HD or DH are concealed within the pattern. Closest match to the mark that I can find in the book is Helen Gillam (previously Helen Davies and Helen Hobson), but I can't see any pictures of similar work on-line.

Barry Huggett does saltglaze but I don't know if he ever used that stamp?

Thanks for very prompt and helpful reply. I've had a good look at the photos of Barry Huggett's stuff and his mark doesn't look like the one on my pot, and I don't see any sign of him doing the detailed sgraffito work which covers my pot.
Here's a photo of the second incised mark which I found buried in the design. The first letter (if it is a letter) of the monogram (if it is a monogram) looks much more like a D in this one and less like a B.
Any other ideas?
