Can anyone Id this for me ,7" tall by 3x3"

It's a 1968 design by Jiri Brabec for Rosice pattern no 482.

Just checked Marcus' book for you Ed and you're right - it's a parallelogram form, pattern no: 5122 designed by Jiri Brabec for Rosice in 1969.

Thanks Pip , I couldn't remember parallelogram, sounds much better than slanty square

Out of curiosity, are these quite rare?

I don't know however you don't come across them that often - not compared to, for example, the lens and candlewax vases...

I wouldn't know how to start identifying this. Can anyone help?
