Colourful glaze German pot
Hi all,
Could anybody offer any info on this small German(?) pot ? It has a lovely colourful glaze with a strong dripped glaze efffect, is this a lava glaze? Any ideas on a maker or studio?
The base is marked with what looks like 707 / 7
but it is curious beacuse two of the '7's are plain and one has the continental style 7 with a bar through it.
here is the vase:
Here is the base:
thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Colourful glaze German pot
Its 101 / 7 chonji, with the continental numbering cross / bar through the seven.
It looks familiar, I'm sure someone will tell you very soon

Re: Colourful glaze German pot
heye thanks, i did consider that 101 but thought, nah..they must be 7's! I also amused myself rotating it so it said L O L
:->
Those colours do look familiar, I really find the German pots difficult though so hopefully somone can nail it!
Cheers.

I have a pair (oo-er) with a similar glaze and I think someone said they were Bay. I'll check tomorrow if
no-one confirms first.

Re: Colourful glaze German pot
Hey I'll check that , thanks, I remembered a detail about numbering, convetions, first part is possibly shape, second size, measured the pot, its 7cm high, so that adds up at least.

Re: Colourful glaze German pot
Yes, that's right about the numbering
My pair I was thinking about is on page 8 of the Bay Keramik thread - I'm probably wrong though
