Re: BOTTLE VASE, MW mark, Mary White?
The mark does look like the Mary White mark in that book but it seems extremely unlikely to be by her.
By 1978 she was a sufficiently important potter not to have to make this type of work and she did give up using stoneware around 1974/5. You don't show any of the clay body but she did use a light stoneware in those days and her glaze colour palette was generally lighter and often included blue.
By 1978 she was using porcelain and throwing more unconventional forms.
This date was just before her move to Germany when she was based in Wiltshire, which is also a long way from the College, which is near Grantham in Lincolnshire.
