RL mark Roger and Jean Leyshon, Kings Lodge Pottery

Whatever it is it's a gorgeous jug.

Not lucie Rie, it is Roger Leyshon

Potted in Wales 1986- 2003 now in France , don't know where he was previous to that but your mark is indicated as 1985, Ed

thanks for taking a look at this my newest pot.
Large jug with 2nd strap handle on front has 2 impressed monograms
possibly R L Mirrored , have  no idea of age. Any thoughts appreciated. scott

My mum gave me this some time in the early 1990s and it took me ages to identify the maker in spite of a Society of Designer Craftsmen label on the base. I emailed them and they were polite but unhelpful sadly. I do wish craft groups would pay more attention to the needs of collectors and maintain a bit of an archive of past members - moan moan. Anyway, I finally realised it was Roger Leyshon (unless anyone knows better?) who had his studio in Llandeilo, Camarthenshire until he moved to France in 2003. The jug is wheelthrown in a very hard speckled pale stoneware and decorated with a most unusual black metallic glaze. 11cm (height)
