Am Sure It's From Japan! Any Ideas
I would be most grateful for any help in identifying the pottery or factory where this piece came from. I have managed to collect two very nice pieces of work both of which are very well made and from what I can determine thay certainly don't seem to be moulded, so I presume both are hand thrown. Both pieces are made from stoneware and are quite heavy. The thing common to both is the impressed mark to the footring. This piece has some numbers alongside the marks while the other has no numbers. I know they are Japanese as the second piece I have collected had a small "Made in Japan" sticker to the base which sometimes puts people off of buying them; however both pieces to my mind are really great collectables. I would be most grateful for any ideas as to the factory. Regards, stillscurrying

It's a Japanese ikebana vase.
I've seen a similar one on google images - an old listing on a shopping website - but I'm afraid I can't tell you who made it.
