Apologies for the images but I took them on my phone and the light was a problem.

I was buying some pottery from an acquaintance today and he asked me if I had any idea about the small bowl pictured below. Have to say that I don't but thought that it was interesting.

Any suggestions?

It does appear to be L R and my guess is that it was made in Central Europe.
