Abstract face dish - Alfajar Pottery, Spain (not Ceramica Otero Regal)

Boot sale find today, most probably continental, signature looks like 3 squigles to me. Any ideas?

   

the shape looks very familiar,I think I saw a Desimone piece just like it

Colours are a bit subdued for Desimone, but I can see similarity in the design.

I now think it looks like the figure is wearing an egyptian or arabic head dress.

Its definately not DeSimone, so i'm a bit stuck now

a few years ago we talked at length about a DeSimone piece that looked like it was made in the same mould

It's a very nice piece but I also don't think it's DeSimone. It's a completely different style and colouring.

for me the colouring is far better than DeSimone,I like it very much

Walter Del Pellegrino confirmed it as not DeSimone. I agree with you both, it is much nicer IMO than DeSimone, I find it a garish.

The white lines on the hair and eyes are incised into the clay.
