Preety garniture of pottery/porcelain vase??
Thanks for taking a peek at this nice trio of vase they measure 63/4" for the large and 6" for the two smaller vases. They are hand painted and have a beech scene with shells etc one side and the reverse has a floral scene on each. Im unabe to make a start with finding a mark and im unsure which cuntry they may have been made in any ideas. Thankyou.

Re: Preety garniture of pottery/porcelain vase??
it's always hard to be sure just from photographs, but i'm sure i remember seeing Fergus Gambon looking at some similar pieces on the Antiques Roadshow a little while ago. They were by Worcester and he said VERY desirable.

Flight & Barr (worcester) i should say, not Royal Worcester

They are in that style for sure, but I'd say the actual painting it too poor quality to be Flight Barr & Barr.
Can we see the base please?

i think i agree with you potty, from the pics the painting isn't up to the standards of Barker for Flight Barr & Barr. My hunch would be continental, French (paris) perhaps.
Re: Preety garniture of pottery/porcelain vase??
I'd be inclined to think "continental" as well.
As to where, I'm not sure.

Thats very good as ive said i had no clues to go on my original hunch was nantgarw as id seen some of that pottery with shells on it in books and as they were £10 i thought id have a go and buy them, Would you think a 19th century age might be about right rather than 20th?
Very chuffed thankyou

I'd expect them to be C1890 or so.
