dec 25 from fabrica de loica, sacagem?
I have a collection of majolica pottery dinnerware, bought in the late 70's in Lisbon, marked dec 25, made in Portugal and the name "sacagem" It is majolica, and the base color on a cobalt blue background (white on reverse side) with a multi-colored floral motif. Today on ebay I bought a similar motif with a white background front and back (4 butter plates).
Do you have any information on where I might look for additional pieces? Or any additional information? When I bought these plates originally, I was told they were no longer making this hand-painted design.
Sincerely,
D Harris

Can we see pictures please.
Fabrica de Loica de Sacavem was a very important factory in Portugal and it's now closed.

You can also find a lot of information here:

photos of my Dec 25 majolica and the plates I found on eBay.
Thank you for your response. Because I don't speak Portuguese, the text didn't help, and I don't see the dishes I have (nor the plates I have found on ebay today. I have uploaded the photos to the host service at this address: https://servimg.com/images.php
Sorry about the duplicate photos - I am not familiar with this method of uploading.
The 4 small (4.5 inches) plates with the white background also say dec 25, etc. on the back. This is the first time I have found something so familiar in many years of looking. I would love to find additional dishes.
I appreciate any information you can give me.

Hi, please upload your pictures to the forum:
https://www.20thcenturyforum.com/t3970-how-to-upload-images-to-your-posts
When you visit a website in a foreign language you can use the google translator to access the information.
You can also try to send an email to the factory museum with your pictures and ask what you need to know:
museu_ceramica@cm-loures.pt
I can try to find some information about your pieces, what exactly do want to know?

Welcome Dorothy
Your pictures are fine now. I've removed your email address from your post above. Its best not to put it on a public forum, or you could get bombarded with spam.

Thank you for removing my email. Would you please also remove my password from that post? Sorry it took awhile for me to catch on to the uploading process! These dishes are just beautiful and I would love to find out more about them and where I might look for more. In particular, an auction site based in Portugal? I will contact the Museum; several years ago I tried that but never heard from anyone there. But I'll try again.
Best regards, Dorothy Harris
