Crowan bases are usually glazed over greeny/grey. A base pic might confirm.

One went for a lot of money at (I think) Partridges because it saves a lot of time & hassle hunting down individual pieces

That's an absolutely delicious bowl Naomi. I remember my beginnings falling in love with studio pottery for the first time going into a charity shop back in the 90's and on the shelf was a lovely CP cobalt blue bowl with a similar pattern also accompanied with another 2nd mark stamped next to the CP stamp which is very rare as we all know Harry was against potters signing there own work has he was not keen on collectors and commercialism, perhaps he had a couple favourite potters and made an exception, who knows. Sadly it had a large piece missing on one side and I declined buying the piece and a snip at a couple of £'s. CP pottery around then was not in abundance in charity shops at the time.
Thinking back now it would have been a good idea picking it up for it's interest reference purposes, it wasn't on shelf long when visiting another day

Nice photo. The thing with Crowan that it is light yet very strong. Those pieces must have had a hard life to get damaged,
