Star China Company - renamed "Paragon" in 1919
It looks like the Star of David and CSC with indecipherable writing underneath, but I can't find it anywhere .... and apologies before you shout at me if it's not 20th century! Thank you. [img][/img]

Re: Star China Company - renamed "Paragon" in 1919
The word under the monogram is England. Below that is probably Fine [Something] China.
I think the monogram is CSCo. If so, it probably stands for Crown Staffordshire Company. I don't know if that's the same as the Crown Staffordshire Porcelain Co. Ltd., 1889-1985, or a precursor to it -there were a lot of Staffordshire Bone China factories.
If it's hand painted then it may be late Victorian. If it's transfer printed it's probably c.1920s when Chintz was popular.
I picked up a similar chintz set, comprising 6 cups and saucers, at the local antique shop for £6, so not worth a fortune.

Star China Company, Longton, Staffordshire later became Paragon China Co Ltd. This particular mark first used about 1912

This one's printed and hand painted in an art nouveau style, it bears the Star China Co monogram under a crown (1903-). I've got 11 trios in this pattern too, plus a milk and sugar bowl.
