The plate is about 22.5 x 2cm and was purchased a few years ago in the UK if that helps any. Thanks!

That's Mogridge & Underhay Ltd. They've been around I believe since around WWI. To the best of my knowledge they were not manufacturers but rather had all of their stuff made by others and simply retailed it. If you Google their name you'll get a fair amount of info.
