Thanks, bistoboy!
Actually Loré is what I thought when I bought it; but searching the retrominded site I couldn't find a similar one, so I assumed it should be a different maker.
The unmarked, flat base looks quite different to my Loré vase as well...

Bringing this one up again as I found the same design (different glaze) today at a fleamarket, so obviously not unique; same base finish, unfortunately unmarked as well.
I had asked Emiel Monnink about it being Loré, and he was very nice and replied that he thought rather not.
The glaze from the new one does look different anyway.
Any new thoughts?
Thanks!

It has a Japanese ikebana feel to it.

Thank you, Naomi -- another avenue to explore (though searching for Japanese ceramics didn't bring up anything similar so far).
Just a stab in the dark: I have this not very attractive Bay Keramik vase, which is unmarked as well (apart from a paper label), and shows the same coloured (and worked) white clay in the unglazed parts as the vases in question.
Would that be an option?

Came across the name 'Peter Saenger' today. If you google his stuff it looks very similar to this pair of vases.
