Two Faced Jug for ID please !.
Bought this jug and would like an ID if possible !, has NO visible marks that i can see, appears to be like cream ware, approx 13cm high.

Aha, I have one of these.
Glazed parian-porcelain creamer. I think the gentleman is one of the American generals. I'll look it up.

Found mine, but hadn't pop a note inside like I usually do. Anyway, they aren't particularly rare. Made in the Victorian period and into the early 1900s, from parian (slip moulded), then glazed. I've also seen them in milk glass. Made to be cheap and cheerful at the time.
I paid under £10 at Winchester antiques fair a few years back for mine.

Looks like Charles Darwin to me, but then I guess a lot of Victorian gents might have looked like that!
