It could be a Cinque Ports, Rye piece, but they normally stamp their pieces with a circular black stamp that says Cinque Ports Rye. I haven't seen one with a monogram, before, unless it's an ealy David Sharpe, Rye, piece.
I'm sure I've seen this sort of thing before, though. It's driving me nuts.

Possibly Iden Pottery, which was set up by Dennis Townsend after leaving Rye.
