Ceramic orange black bird - id?
I'm sure I've seen this sort of pottery before but I can't place it - USA? Scandinavian?. It's unmarked. Anyone recognise it?
Seems to be made of a mixed clay - orange and black - with a clear glaze over the top.
3.5" wide, 3" high

I don't think the glaze is coloured, just the clay underneath.

I think the glaze must be coloured as it has run into the cracks the underside has had the glaze wiped off giving the impression of coloured clay

Ah, yes, you could be right.
Only one way to test it.....taking out my trusty pin.....yes, you're both right.
