Made in England stamped Pottery Vase feels almost metallic, Lacquerware?
Hi,
This piece is part of a project I have taken on to identify a large collection so any help is greatly appreciated.
The only thing this piece has on it is a black ink stamp "Made in England" on the bottom. The pottery feels almost metallic and the finish is very lacquer like. Thought on who made this and what era?

Oh, forgot to mention. It reminds me of Carltonware luster but that would be marked on the bottom so............

Not sure who made it, but it is a lustre finish.

Possibly Staffordshire and Made in England might suggest 1920's .

BINGO!
Staffordshire used in the search hit it...Ruby Lane
As you say the "Made in England" stamp puts it probably around 1920 something but I would agree that it is Staffordshire after finding this other pic.
Thanks tons guys. 1 down and I cant count how many to go lol...

Came across a similar example on google listed as "GRAYS POTTERY PURPLE LUSTRE PATTERN....ON MINIATURE JUG" with Lancaster & Sandland Ltd, Hanley, Staffordshire, England on the base. c.1940s. It is a commonly copied pattern, though.
