Leach Pottery Dish Date/Potter?
Hi Just wondered if any Leach officionado can throw some light on a possible date/potter of this little Dish please? 6" in diameter and about an 1" deep. Leach mark with England underneath, no obvious potters mark. Thanks

Re: Leach Pottery Dish Date/Potter?
It is part of the Standard Ware range and was made from the 1950s until this was discontinued in the late 1970s.
It is described in the 1975 catalogue of Standard Ware as a "general purpose dish"with B glaze (mottled grey brown) - there were 3 standard glazes, the others being celadon and tenmoku. In 1975 it retailed at 65p.
It was one of the less complicated forms of the Standard Ware range and so would have been made by one of the junior apprentices at the time.
