Tam Irving
Tam Irving is an educator and studio potter based in West Vancouver.
He initially obtained a degree in Agriculture from the University of Scotland in Edinburgh and then worked as a chemist for Shell Canada, before becoming a production potter.
He began to lecture in ceramics at the Vancouver School of Art/Emily Carr University in 1973 and stayed there until he retired in 1996. Since then he has returned to potting full time and has exhibited widely.
His work is in the collections of The Victoria and Albert Museum, London; the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Hull and the Gardiner Museum, Toronto as well as other public and private collections.

Another potter to look out for in that area is Wayne Ngan - I'll try and see if I have anything by him.
