Found a few mentions online, seems to be a company called California Originals.
On Etsy there is one listed as
Another listed as
And another - the same shape as yours - on Ruby Plaza website, listed as
On About.com there's an article written by Barbara Crews about the California Originals company, although her slant is about their figural jars.
I agree that the Cc is probably a copyright symbol.

Vintage Large Speckled Vase Original USA Shawnee?

. The description includes:Vintage Original, U.S.A. Sculptural Planter / Vase
This stylish planter or vase has the sculptural design of pieces popular in the 1950’s and 60’s. With its clean lines it would look elegant with a single orchid or other simple arrangement. It has a white on white stucco like or over spray finish. On the bottom it is marked with the copyright symbol, Original USA C - 413A. I believe this is a California Original piece but have not been able to document the company for sure.

Found a vase on Etsy with the same "c within a C" logo and "Original U.S.A." that was sold last year. Seller says it's a "California Originals", and from the description, the seller seems to know what he's talking about. So, I'll assume my vase is also a "California Originals". Thanks to everyone for the leads. Best of luck with your pottery searches.
