Maybe not a signature , maybe a motto or something like "I'm a Lady", on second thoughts maybe not Laughter

From the number I'm pretty sure it's German. c.1900-1920? (numbers were handwritten before they used stamped numbers).
I think the inscription is 'I'm Mary'

as far as i know these are from thuringia early 20th century, nearly allways marked germany and numbered, mostly in unglazed porcelain

hard to find the manufacturer I guess and these figures might be fairings

Embarrassed Pardon my ignorance, what is a fairing please? Google images shows a similar group, but then mostly motorbikes and biscuits.
