Beaker with CM monogram - id?
Ceramic beaker with grey under-glaze and brown over-glaze on outer surface, over a white ground. With a circle and criss-cross line, wax resist, decoration.
Inner surface of the beaker is yellow.
CM monogram on the base.
Crazing in the glaze so I suspect it's 60s era or earlier.
Could it be continental?

Do you think it could be an early Michael Casson piece? I see in Yates that he painted his mark in the first couple of years and it was the M inside the C. Also spotted a beaker by him that has a similar waisted style.

Depends on whether he did cows too, as this one has the same mark (not sure why the pictures have disappeared, hopefully it's only a temporary glitch. Luckily there are copies on pinterest)

To add, Casson normally worked in stoneware, where are these are earthenware.

Personally I doubt it has any connection to M Casson at all.

I put a picture of an earthenware jug by Mick Casson from the 1950s on the Mick & Sheila Casson thread elsewhere on this forum a week or so ago and you should see the difference between that and this beaker.
The decoration and mark on the beaker are really not precise enough for Mick Casson so still a mystery I think.

While I agree with Potty & Dan and doubt very much this was made by Casson , (the Cm mark is quite abundant among a lot of potters ) quality isn't always a guide , there's a lucie rie on at the moment that is awful as are a few of her pieces Iv'e seen , so I wouldn't always discount a piece if it isn't the potters usual high standard .
