I'm only kidding. I can see something, MADE is clear, the rest is faint but it looks more like ENGLAND than GERMANY. Can you shoot the base from a few different angles?

Can you see it now? I have no idea who made it. Quite a few British potteries used impressed shape numbers.
The use of England rather than Britain could be a clue to the date though.

Beswick was often unmarked pre-1936 when they became Ltd so a good chance this dates from the early '30's

Not sure, but the shape itself was designed in 1934 my MR Symcox.
