Earthenware tenmoku glazed goblet
Hi all,
Anybody ideas on this one? it is an earthenware goblet, with i am pretty sure a tenmoku glaze, it si
rather rustic, i thought might have been bernard leach but mark is not right? It certainly seems cornish
but then there is a somewhat oriental mark on the edge of the base.
here is the piece:
Here is the base stamp it is in two parts, the left seems to be a little angel or something, the right looks a bit oriental

arrgh! this one is killing me - i am so intruiged by the mark - I cant get anything from the ireland angle, is quite a tricky one because of all the shamrocks and leprechauns, guiness stuff that clouds the search results, if you see what i mean, I am going to try a kanji stroke dictionary for the character on the right!
