Help in ID'ing a pottery vessel Empty Help in ID'ing a pottery vessel

Hi,
I found this vessel covered in dirt and cobwebs in a shed.

It's unmarked and unglazed.

It measures approx. 7" tall and 5" across the bottom.

It's fairly light in weight and has a good "feel" to it.

I'd love to know it's age and possible maker.

Thanks for your help,
Beth

welcome Beth,
a very interesting piece,it looks like the potter burnished it to avoid firing and glazing

Hi Dan and thanks for the welcome.
Would you guess an age on the piece?

Looks more like traditional / rustic pottery than art pottery (although I think some of the European art potters borrowed from such sources in the 60s, but in that case one would expect it to be marked. Maybe made at a Pueblo?
