italian bertoncello fish moneybox?
hello!
me again, found this nice red glazed moneybox fish at a fleamarket yesterday.
i own some bertoncellos and the number on the base seems to be like the other vases i have.
only the the red glaze is unusually.
but i have heard, that some scarce 70s pieces of bertoncello have this red glaze.
could it be a bertoncello one?
maybe someone knows!
thanks a lot for any information.

I think it is. There's a picture in Mark Hill's Alla Modo book (highly recommended) showing a very similar jug. White clay was used for these, which checks out with your fish. This style was often unmarked, as well. Nice!

i checked the site in the book and it seems similiar to the glaze.
the book is very good, but the infos about bertoncello are very rarein it.
thanks
