Hi, can somebody please identify this vase for me? I picked it up this morning, but can't identify the signature. thanks

It does have the look of a piece made in a pottery class so unlikely to find out who made it.

Nice piece.
I don't recognise the mark. It looks a bit too fancy for a student, but it could be by a talented student.
Does it feel unevenly potted, eg, heavier on the base or on one side? That would indicate a student piece.

As much as I can judge, it's pretty even. It is heavier at the bottom though, but I think it's due to its shape. Any ideas what the monogram can be? I'm thinking it's MM or maybe VM? Or just an M?
