I agree with Dan thrown maybe by teacher but decor and sig by someone else .

the incised decoration and letters look like examples I saw in my pottery class,with experience comes refinement

Slightly off topic but relevant , people visited the Leach pottery years ago and made in part, pieces that would have bernard leach's initials on them , these appear sometimes today as originals , it questions peoples ideals on potters from the past , they think that they were gods , they were just potters , great potters , but just potters .
