This is quite a wide and imposing piece - 40cm across. It's got a small 'Made in Italy' stamp in silver on the base. Anyone know what it might be?

I'm no expert, but it resembles to the pieces that were made by Vi.bi Torino.

I also thought of Vi.Bi, but usually their pieces are marked and don't have a golden trim.

yes, I'm unsure too, but I've managed to find a vase on a site which was described as vi.bi but was unmarked. but as I said, I'm no expert so it was just a guess....

Just been looking around, and it certainly fits stylistically with ViBi. The way the colours are applied seems to fit as well. But there's the business of the gold trim and the lack of mark. I shall continue to search!
