ID PLEASE ON THIS BEAUTIFULLY HAND THROWN BOWL, FOREIGN

WHEN I BOUGHT THIS BOWL IT HAS A LABEL THAT SAYS FOREIGN AT THE BASE BUT I TOOK IT OFF.... THERE IS A MARK AT THE BASE IS NOT THAT CLEAR SOMETHING LIKE LETTER U ANY CLUE?

It is a modern factory made piece but the brush decoration suggests to me that in was made in Japan.
It is worth pointing out that the bowl has been thrown and hand painted so not machine made and transfer printed, like much of the factory wares that we produced in the Potteries.
