ID help for folk art wall plaque
Can somebody please identify this wall plaque? It looks like some sort of folk art motif (maybe it's Scandinavian?) there's a very faint printed text on the back, but it's so faded that it's impossible to read. Thanks.

My first thought is Mexican.

Re: ID help for folk art wall plaque
thanks Naomi. I've had a look at some Mexican tree of life patterns, but they don't seem to be similar to this one. It may sound funny, but when I first saw the plate, for some strange reason Ikea popped into my mind. And then I remembered that they make some folk art patterned cushions. I've had a look on Ikea's website and they have similar motifs.

Re: ID help for folk art wall plaque
I've been googleing this plate for a day now, and I'm still totally lost... The closest pattern match I could find is the Pennsylvanian Frakturs, but I'm still unsure. Is there anybody who is familiar with Pennsylvanian pottery and able to advise if it's one of them? Thanks..

Re: ID help for folk art wall plaque
Can you post a picture of the back? Sometimes the general shape and position of silt marks (or absence of them) can help identify it.
