Re: John Beswick Ltd, Longton (Staffs).
Found one online with a partial Beswick label
pottery vase designed by Colin Melbourne for Beswick with black and cream stripe decoration against an olive-green background.. .. It is stamped “BESWICK ENGLAND”, numbered model “1351” and retains the remnants of an original label.

Brilliant, thanks, not what I was expecting from today's booting!
Have now seen 1351 and 1399 vases, which must have been "standard" shapes, and have a variety of decorations.

Two Handled Vase Possibly 50’s/60’s - Beswick,
Hi,
I wonder if anyone could help me identify the make of this vase?
It is marked ‘Made In England’ and has an embossed ‘36’
I’ve scoured the internet but have drawn a blank.
The lady I bought it from said it was from the 60’s.
Many thanks in advance,
Stacey.

Re: John Beswick Ltd, Longton (Staffs).
Possibly Beswick with the large impressed number, but haven't ever seen that shape.
Re: John Beswick Ltd, Longton (Staffs).
I found a couple ID'd as Beswick. Search Beswick Trentham Art Ware.

Yes definitely Beswick, found some in the same shape but not with that glaze. Thank you for your help.

Typical Beswick numbers, and very often not marked. Never been sure why.

Re: John Beswick Ltd, Longton (Staffs).
Yes all correct and in the right place!
Not Shelley, as Shelley is China, rather than earthenware.
Is there an impressed number somewhere on the bottom?
If so i would definitely say Beswick, but Crown Devon also made
chargers like this.

Hello denbydump,
thank you for your reply.
No, there is definitely nothing impressed on the bottom.
Having Googled Beswick Art Deco, I can now see that the the glaze looks very similar.
Thank you,
Patsy.

Re: John Beswick Ltd, Longton (Staffs).
There is a yellow and green one on a South african auction site, unmarked.
Use the word "Wall pocket", a more usual name for these.

Thanks for looking DD. I found another white-ish one listed as Beswick, sold in 2013.
