Tonala Stoneware, Mexico
Hi, looking for some thoughts on this. It is just over 3" tall square press-moulded stoneware. There are several faded marks on the bottom which look somewhat similar those featured on Hamada's Mashiko work. *The second to last photo is a better representative of the actual color of the bottom, I took the last photo just now using a lacking light source (cloudy day). Thanks for your help.

Re: Tonala stoneware, Mexico
I’ve seen a similar piece by Tonala Stoneware, Mexico. Either Ken Edwards or Jorge Wilmot

Oh my gosh, I feel so embarrassed because I should’ve known this. For some reason I ended up fixated on what I thought I saw on the bottom and went full speed down a rabbit hole and you are right, it’s Tonala. Thanks Naomi, you’re awesome. I’m sure I’m not speaking only for myself when I say the work you do and your knowledge is beyond impressive and greatly appreciated.
