Here's the first piece I bought by Dylan - a press-moulded plate 31.6cm across. Got it from the Ruthin Gallery shop.





The second piece looks to be a sample piece perhaps. Bought off ebay and unmarked. 17.8cm (diameter)

Hatfield Art in Clay

Saw his pieces at Hatfield today - they make me salivate as it looks like they're made out of luxury ice cream with rich chocolate sauce; like you could just take a big bite out of them!

Now I'm hungry.  

He's had an Open Studio this week so went to visit and came away with a boxful

It's very hard to explain to non-pot-people that it's actually quite hard to slop the slip onto the pot as confidently as that and to make interesting strong shapes at the same time. Very easy to be timid.

It is difficult to be contemporary with something as traditional as slip, but some potters manage it :)
