Simon Shaw
This vase is by Simon Shaw, not sure if it relates to this thread: https://www.20thcenturyforum.com/t11957-wensleydale-pottery-simon-rebecca-shaw
As you can see the mark has been covered by glaze but the colours are a give-away, it also has great feel to it. It's more like soft material like velvet than ceramics.

Re: Simon Shaw
It's a different person. This Simon Shaw started his pottery in Liverpool in 1997 and this barium glaze is typical of his production.
His work is either thrown or extruded.

Re: Simon Shaw
Thanks for clarification and naming the glaze :) It is feels and looks much different than any pot I've handled. This pot is thrown I think.

Naomi, still as fast as lightening I see
Thank you very much.
I was wondering about the glaze, that's good to know.
I don't usually buy damaged pots, but it sings, absolutely beautiful. Didn't mind paying £20 for it.
