Tony Clee bought the building in the mid 1950’s and ran Clee Pottery as a co-operative whilst making much of the domestic ware himself. In 1994 we bought the building, and continued the tradition, installing new kilns and a working pottery run by Jacqueline Norris (Turner). Jacqueline continued making pots for a further ten years until the running of the gallery took over full time.
Mike and Jacqueline Turner still run the business as a gallery, showcasing other eminent potters’ work as well as glass artists, printmakers and jewellers.
