Large tenmoku vase again no makers marks help needed I.Ding please.
another lovely piece. Very large and heavy - approx 12". The glaze is lovely and I wondered if anyone recognised it? TIA

Looks like the same clay as the other one, so likely to be by the same potter. I'm sorry, I don't recognise the style but I think on balance is a hobby potter.

Dunno, Ash glaze looks slightly better than a hobby potter.

I don't think either are by a "hobby potter" and both look very British to me anyway.

Fair enough, the other is a possibly a Second, then.
Came across this large tenmoku lidded pot by Mark Hewitt with similar russet banding round it. I don't know what clay he uses but if it's white stoneware then it may be worth asking if these pots are his

Could be worth asking, his apprentices seem to have produced similar work too, so he may know even if it's not his.
Agree that the other pot was probably sold as a second.
