Re: Colin Pearson
'possibly the largest winged pot made by Colin Pearson.'
Note the first word Auctioneers and their PR hyperbole!
I wonder when their art pottery sale will be? Would be nice to look at it, but it will inevitably be pricey. Still I've stopped buying now, so looking is an even greater pleasure. Mind you, W & W are quite an expensive place to buy from nowadays.

Re: Colin Pearson
i have bought quite well in the past in wallis december sales but if the sale is not open for viewing i will not buy as condition reports cannot be trusted as the words possibly and apparently are frquently used.

Re: Colin Pearson
Seeing the huge Colin Pearson on sal in Wooley and Wallis, put me in mind of our Colin Pearson. Had this one for over 20 years. Big , chunky and Stoneware it is not your usual delicate winged piece. Moreover, you would not know it from the side views but it it is a sculptural teapot. I think the teapots date from an exhibition in 1982 which was reviewed in Crafts magazine. In all the over 20 years we have had this we have never ever seen anything of his work quite like it. 34 cms wide, 24 cms high.
