I met a potter today who used to paint the sides of fairground rides for a living,he has now traded his airbrush for a palate knife and makes pottery as a sideline....I just found his business card,he's a Romany artist Daniel De Aston.

I love the crystalline glazes used here,the decorator can fish out a crystal from the liquid glaze and place it on the pot where he wants an explosion (literally) of colour.

I bought these from Daniel yesterday,the same colour crystals suspended in glaze were used along with a textured glaze and copper
