I've come across this pottery before but not finding it atm. Not sure which way up the mark is supposed to be. DNH maybe?
Does the other pot have a mark? Could you post a photo of it, if it does?

Thanks - it does look like NK preceded by a horizontal line.
It could be Scottish also, as there is a lot of connections between Northern Ireland (where I live) and Scotland.
