Large German Jar
I only know it's German because it has it on the base!
I understand it is for storing fruit in Rum ..... I think! :con2:

Planter #4
Form number is very difficult to read, but appears to be 802-12 W. Germany

The biggest ugliest most fat a-sed pot ever
Why did I buy it? It reminds me of me. But what is it? As best I can make out the numbers are 553-38 and W Germany. The base diameter is 175 mm.

Re: Scheurich Keramik
I knew I recognised this form! Here's my 553-38 and still bearing it's original Scheurich paper label which I reckon is pretty conclusive that the one at the top of this thread is Scheurich.

Pip
on my pot the bottom section - the green area in the pic has almost parallel sides meeting the base at almost a right angle making it look like an artillery shell. ie the base is almost as wide as the widest part of the pot. I think this is what makes it lack aesthetic appeal. Is that the same as yours? It's quite hard to judge from the pics (especially when yours is so much nicer!)

Yes I think it's the same as yours - here it is from another angle.
